Phoenix Sculpture Series

I was inspired to create the phoenix series by the indomitable spirit I have witnessed in women the world over. That they mostly not only survive but thrive embodies the Phoenix. The myth is about a stunning bird that after it is burnt to death, rises from the ashes, renewed. I celebrate that strength with these torsos.
